Ontario.Center is a resource centre and marketing service for trades businesses in Ontario. We publish practical guides, keep a short directory of the provincial bodies trades owners deal with, and plan and run marketing for owners who want help. Ali Sedighi, MBA, leads it as part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, a Canadian group headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Why a resource centre
Most trades owners we meet aren't short of marketing offers. They're short of straight answers. They want to know what a lead should cost, whether their website is the problem, and where to find the official page on licensing or workplace insurance without wading through sales pitches.
So this site is built the other way round. The guides come first and are free to use. The official links point to the bodies themselves. Our services are there for owners who'd rather have someone do the work, and they're described in enough detail on the services page that you can judge them before you call.
Ali Sedighi, MBA
Ali's marketing career began in 2007, the year he founded ONE.ir, a full-service digital marketing agency, which gives him 17+ years in the field. His degree is an MBA in Technology Management. He now lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia.
He has built 150+ live HVAC websites, including CombiBoiler.ca, Roma Heating & Cooling and HeatLand. Beyond trade marketing, he started Conv.ca, which specialises in conversion-rate optimisation, and MyAutomation.ca, and serves SAZ.ca as Founder & Managing Partner. His clients have included businesses in Canada, the USA and Dubai.
That background explains the method on this site: start with the numbers, make the website and Google profile honest and useful, and treat follow-up as seriously as lead generation.
The group behind this site
Ontario.Center belongs to the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies.
- Sedighi.ca is Ali's own consulting company, covering growth, marketing and technology. Trades.Agency, our parent brand, is one of its brands, alongside HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca.
- SAZ.ca stands for Strategy & Acceleration Zone. Ali founded it as a Canadian consultancy focused on strategy, AI and revenue acceleration, and Sedighi.ca provides its strategic leadership.
Our parent brand for trades work is Trades.Agency, and plans for Ontario.Center clients are priced on its plans, as shown on our pricing page.
What we do and what we don't
We are a marketing and business consulting service for trades. We plan websites, local search, ads, content and follow-up, and we advise owners on pricing, positioning and growth.
We are not a contractor. We don't install, repair or service anything, and we never take on trade work, directly or through a referral.
We are not a regulator, a law firm or a compliance consultant either. When our guides mention TSSA, ESA, WSIB, Skilled Trades Ontario or any other body, we're summarising and linking their public pages as of the date shown. Questions about your own licence, registration or coverage go to them.
Why Ontario, from Vancouver
A fair question is why a Vancouver-based group runs an Ontario resource centre. The answer is that marketing for trades is mostly about how homeowners search, compare and decide, and those habits travel well. What doesn't travel is local detail: Ontario's provincial bodies, its programs, its regional geography and its seasons. That's why every Ontario-specific statement on this site links to an official Ontario or federal source, carries a date, and stays out of interpretation. We'd rather send you to the source than paraphrase it badly.
How we work
- We listen to the numbers first. Average job value, quotes sent, quotes won and where work comes from today.
- We recommend the smallest useful step. Often that's fixing a Google profile or a callback routine, not a new website.
- We put it in writing. Scope, price and what we'll measure, before any work starts.
- You own everything. The domain, the site, the Google profile and every ad account are registered to your business, never to us.
- We report plainly. Calls, texts, emails and jobs, not vanity metrics.
Our proof comes from our HVAC work, and we present it as such. The results page explains what transferred to other trades and what didn't. If you'd like to talk, the contact page explains how to reach us and what to include.
Frequently asked questions
Who writes the guides on this site?
Ali Sedighi, MBA, who has worked in digital marketing since 2007. Each guide is checked against its official sources on the date shown.
Is Ontario.Center connected to TSSA, ESA or WSIB?
No. We're an independent marketing service with no link to any regulator or government body. We point you to their websites because that's where the authoritative answers are.
Where are you based?
The group is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. Ontario trades can meet us in person or by video call, or work with us by phone, text and email.
Do you do trade work?
No. We don't install, repair or service anything, and we don't refer homeowners to contractors for a fee. Our clients are the trades businesses themselves.
